Collin, a 13 year old from Ethel Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach, California, spent 90 minutes digging and digging in the sand with a $10 teaspoon and he along with over 200 others could NOT find the $1300.00 diamond necklace prize donated by MARINELLI FINE JEWELRY. There were 6 great prizes that were not found, so after a 30 minute bonus round of digging, Captain Kerr (aka Russell Kerr, President of the Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club) decided to have the diggers turn in their spoons and shovels for a ticket… the lucky winner was COLLIN! His father, Lou, was so proud and happy for his son. (more…)
